I don’t know about you, but gift-giving is a challenge for me.

Imagine this:

You’re at the store, wandering through the mad rush because the holidays have snuck up on you, and is it too late to Amazon something? Crowds are stressful but more stressful is finding that gift that the people on your list open up and break into that big grin for because it’s perfect.

It’s a lot of work. Also expensive when it doesn’t need to be (or you just skip gift-giving which I do some years…)

All of this to say, I’m giving my friends an odd gift this year that you might appreciate (or want to steal for future occasions!).

Here it is:

Children’s books.

Here are some worthy of my adult friends.

Cover book

A love letter to life, and the resiliency of the human heart in experiencing painful things. Give it to friends to remind them it’s okay for your heart to change and to be easy on yourself.

Cover book

A sweet, calming book with the undercover philosophical message to pause, quiet down, and take in the world. A great gift for friends who are always on the go.

Cover book

Finding silence or “ma” is becoming lost in our modern-day world with all the technology and non-stop activity around us that causes constant distraction. For friends, about the healing of power of quiet.
